Religious Education
As a faith school, RE is an important lesson as it allows the children an opportunity to reflect, discuss and challenge in a different way to other lessons. During RE lessons all children achieve and are inspired to think about themselves and how they ‘fit’ into the community of school and the wider world.
We use the National Curriculum and the Worcestershire Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) for the content that we teach, which is augmented by high quality resources from Understanding Christianity and R.E Today. We work closely with our Diocese, our school and St. Kenelm's Church Reverend, and foundation governors to make sure that our Religious Education Curriculum offers progression, reflection and chance to think about the 'Big Questions' within our Christian Ethos.
We look for all children to be able to discuss their own beliefs, of religious or non-religious, and take part in discussions about faith and big questions with respect.
Our Religious Education Subject Lead Teacher is Miss Houghton.
