Introduction

Welcome to our Nursery........

St Kenelm’s Nursery is a small and friendly setting situated in the heart of Romsley village, close to motorway networks and nestled within panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. It has its own cosy building with a calm yet stimulating environment.

Benefitting from an outstanding outdoor area, our young children can hunt for bugs in Wellie Wood, cook mud pies in the mud kitchen and build dens in our secret garden as well as use all the space afforded to main school such as a traversing wall, an adventure trail and a storytelling circle.

In the moment planning -

Provision in our nursery promises high quality early years education, that benefits from an in the moment planning model. This is an approach to learning where the setting plans a topic spontaneously based on what child/children are interested in. This is delivered by qualified early year’s practitioners, through play-based learning in an environment that stimulates curiosity and enables each child to engage in activities without being directed by an adult. As a result, the early years team provide a stimulating and enlightening curriculum.

As parents you will be kept up to date with your child’s development through our online learning journal full of photos and comments, so you can see exactly what your child has been up to!  We very much welcome your contributions to this journal too.

Miss Pearman is the lead LSA in nursery and she is supported by Mrs C Jeffers and
Mrs L Evans. The nursery is overseen by Mrs M Hayes, our EYFS Lead and Reception Teacher.

Find out more about Mrs A Pearman:

"Hello, my name is Anita Pearman and I'm the Lead Keyworker for the school nursery which is situated behind the school. I've worked with Pre-school children for 16 years and enjoy meeting new parents and watching children reach their potential.

I really enjoy working in such a lovely school environment; the nursery looks out on to fields and a wood where we are fortunate to see lots of wildlife. Outside of school I enjoy walking, yoga and keeping fit."

Thinking about joining?

The nursery is open during term-time only between 9.00am to 3pm. Parents can utilise their Universal and Additional childcare funding to access 15- or 30-hour week places.
