St Kenelm’s Nursery is a small and friendly setting situated in the heart of Romsley village, close to motorway networks and nestled within panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. It has its own cosy building with a calm yet stimulating and naturally resourced environment.
Benefitting from an outstanding outdoor area, our young children can hunt for bugs in Wellie Wood, cook mud pies in the mud kitchen and build dens in our secret garden as well as use all the space afforded to main school such as a traversing wall, an adventure trail and a storytelling circle.
Provision in our nursery promises high quality early year’s education that is planned by our early year’s leader and delivered by qualified early year’s practitioners. Through play based learning, the early years team provide a stimulating and enlightening curriculum. The nursery children have the opportunity to play and learn alongside the reception children encouraging friendships and interaction thus supporting the children to be school ready.
As parents you will be kept up to date with your child’s development through our online learning journal full of photos and comments, so you can see exactly what your child has been up to! We very much welcome your contributions to this journal too.
Find out more about Mrs A Pearman:
"Hello, my name is Anita Pearman and I'm the Lead Keyworker for the school nursery which is situated behind the school. I've worked with Pre-school children for 16 years and enjoy meeting new parents and watching children reach their potential.
I really enjoy working in such a lovely school environment; the nursery looks out on to fields and a wood where we are fortunate to see lots of wildlife. Outside of school I enjoy walking, yoga and keeping fit."
The nursery is open during term-time between 9.00am to 3pm. Parents can utilise their childcare funding to access 15 or 30 hour week places (if eligible) at no cost to themselves.
